Beyond Resilience: Exploring Identity, Belonging and Wellbeing as Women of Colour

Saturday, 5 September 2026 at 12:00 – 4:00 pm

Location: Blossom room, headroom

Hosted by Dr Elizabeth Aderanti — Clinical Psychologist

Join Dr Elizabeth Aderanti and Dr Wayelina Marianne, Clinical Psychologists, for a reflective and empowering workshop exploring the experiences of women of colour through the lens of psychology, identity, and lived experience.

Together, we will explore how race, gender, and culture can shape our sense of self, belonging, and wellbeing. Through psychological research and shared reflection, we will consider themes including identity, femininity, self-worth, emotional labour and resilience.

This workshop offers a supportive and affirming space to reflect on your experiences, connect with others, and deepen your understanding of the unique challenges and strengths that can come with navigating the world as a woman of colour.

You will have the opportunity to explore practical, evidence-informed approaches to nurturing self-compassion, setting healthy boundaries, and supporting your emotional wellbeing.

Whether you are seeking greater self-understanding, connection with others, or tools to support your wellbeing, this workshop provides a space to feel seen, validated, and empowered.
