Maurice Lowe, Chiropractor
Supporting lasting change through mctimoney chiropractic
About Me
I have been practicing McTimoney Chiropractic for seventeen years treating people with back, neck and shoulder pain. McTimoney is a more gentle form of chiropractic where people anxious about high-force manipulation may find this approach a preferable option. I encourage people to take an active participation in their health, advising on posture and rehabilitation when necessary and give rehabilitation exercises when appropriate. After suffering from back pain following a serious car accident in my late teens, I tried many forms of physical therapy over the years to alleviate the pain but only found short term relief until I discovered McTimoney chiropractic in my 40’s. This made such a huge positive impact on my life I decided to change professions to enable me to help other people in a similar way.
Professional background, Training & Qualifications
I trained at the McTimoney College of Chiropractic obtaining a BSc (Hons) Chiropractic in 2010 and am registered with the General Chiropractic Association my governing body (Reg: 03453). I supplement chiropractic manipulation when appropriate with other forms of physical therapy and soft tissue techniques such as Soft-Tissue-Release, Trigger Point Therapy, Emmett technique for example. I have studied Sacral Occipital Technique (SOT), another form of chiropractic treatment and bring this to my practice as an adjunct to the McTimoney technique when necessary.
