Jamaica Williams, Physiotherapist

Personalised Physiotherapy for Pain, Recovery and Women's Health

About me

I am a Chartered Physiotherapist and HCPC-registered practitioner with experience across the NHS, private practice, and sports settings. I specialise in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, women's health, and pelvic floor rehabilitation, providing personalised, evidence-based care tailored to your individual goals.

Having previously competed as an athlete myself, I understand first-hand the physical and emotional challenges that can accompany injury, pain, and rehabilitation. This experience has shaped my approach to physiotherapy: successful treatment starts by understanding the person, not just the condition.

I work with a wide range of clients, including people experiencing everyday aches and pains, athletes returning to sport, women during pregnancy and postnatal recovery, and individuals seeking support for pelvic floor concerns. Whether your goal is to return to exercise, recover from an injury, manage pain, or simply move more comfortably in everyday life, we will work together to create a treatment plan that is specific to you.

Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy

I assess and treat a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, including back and neck pain, joint pain, tendinopathies, sporting injuries, and pre- and post-operative rehabilitation.

Your initial appointment includes a detailed discussion about your symptoms, goals, and how your condition is affecting your daily life, followed by a thorough physical assessment. Together, we will identify the underlying causes of your symptoms and develop a personalised treatment plan to help you return to the activities that matter most to you.

Clinical Pilates

Clinical Pilates combines physiotherapy principles with movement-based rehabilitation to improve strength, mobility, and body awareness.

Sessions are individually tailored and can help those recovering from injury, managing persistent pain, or experiencing movement dysfunction. I also offer performance-focused Pilates sessions designed to support strength, conditioning, and physical performance.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture can be used alongside physiotherapy or as a standalone treatment to help reduce pain, relieve muscle tension, and support the body's natural healing processes.

Following an assessment, I will determine whether acupuncture is an appropriate treatment option and tailor the approach to your individual needs.

Massage Therapy

Massage therapy can help reduce muscular tension, improve mobility, support recovery, and relieve discomfort.

Whether you are recovering from injury, managing ongoing tightness, or simply looking to improve your physical wellbeing, massage can form an effective part of your overall treatment and recovery plan.

Women's Health & Pelvic Health Physiotherapy

I am passionate about supporting women throughout pregnancy, postnatal recovery, and their return to exercise and sport.

Pelvic health conditions can have a significant impact on quality of life, and many people struggle in silence. I aim to create a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment where you can feel comfortable discussing symptoms that are often difficult to talk about.

I support clients experiencing:

Urinary incontinence / over active bladder

Pelvic pain

Vaginismus

Postnatal pelvic floor dysfunction

Pelvic girdle pain

Pregnancy-related back pain

Following a comprehensive assessment, internal pelvic floor examinations may be offered when clinically appropriate and are always discussed thoroughly beforehand.

Qualifications

I trained at the university of Leicester where I received a BSC in Physiotherapy. I have completed further training under the bowel, bladder and pelvic health service to become a pelvic health physiotherapist. Alongside this, I have completed the AACP course to become certified in acupuncture and the APPI Pilates mat work. I have also undertaken many relevant training courses such as the sporting foot and ankle, unravelling S&C for therapists and the complete ACL rehab course all of which have furthered my knowledge and abilities as a clinician.
